At the sewn hug, we believe the smallest stitches carry the greatest meaning. Each accessory is thoughtfully handmade to bring comfort, charm, and individuality to everyday life.

 

the sewn hug began with a thoughtful birthday gift — a sewing machine from my husband that gently brought me back to something I had loved since childhood. Growing up, sewing was always part of my creativity. I spent hours making tiny dresses for my Barbie dolls, experimenting with fabrics and details. By middle school, I was redesigning my old jeans and even created a handmade bag from my clothes for the new school year.

 

Years later, living in a warm and humid climate and loving long hair, hair ties became an everyday essential. But many pulled too tightly, often causing headaches and hair fall. I began sewing my own, choosing softer fabrics and focusing on comfort — so they could hold hair gently without pulling.

 

Today, the sewn hug pieces are crafted in small batches using carefully selected, pre-washed fabrics, with every stitch placed with care.

 

My daughter is often by my side through this journey — she loves helping me, especially during pop-ups, and proudly wears the pieces we create. Seeing her joy as she tells everyone, “My mama made this for me,” is one of the most meaningful parts of the sewn hug.
